BAND ABOUT BAND

 

FOB was bor after the second MonteParadiso festival in autumm '93 inspirated by the first bigger meeting of the Croatian Punk scene, and also was the answer to bad situation in our society.
The first gig was in Labin in summer '94 and that was the begining. First release was split LP with Dark Busters (Pula) in 1996 and it was released by MonteParadiso, Humanita Nova and the bands. Second release was «The only evidence» 1998. These two albums were recorded at Chotka studio and we are thakfull for all the help and advices Chotka gave to us, also is important that the second album was released in colaboration with, MonteParadiso, Humanita Nova and Dirty Old Town. We are especially thankfull to Vedran Meniga and Igor Banjanim and Cavallo Padre. This album «the Province Strikes Back» was recorded at december 2001 in Marijan basement. Thanks Marijan for your hospitality and all the help on production…
Playing in a band help us to fulfill our childhood dreams of traveling around. Except the fact that band had played in all possible cities inCroatia and Slovenija, we also played three tours around Europe. In '96 band played around Germany and Netherland, thanx to Andrijana Barbić Cica. We have really good memories about cold German winter, Amsterdam and Hamburg. Second tour was in spring '97 and it was organized by Alain (Liege) and Maske, we played together with aSMC band from Pula in France and Belgium we should played in Switzerland too but their police didn't let us in. It was nice to play in Paris in a spring, Lion crew for great gig…thanx Sašo for drive… Last tour was few days before and after the New Years Eve in 2001, we played with Nula in Austria, Switzerland(we had luck this time), Spain, Italy. We remembered all the good people like Louise and Sabina(Biel) and David(Zaragoza).
This is a part of the story about fakofbolan. There is so much more thigs to tell, like MonteParadiso and fakofbolan are parts of eachother but that is an another story…to be continued…
Thanx to all our MonteParadiso friend who followed us all the time from Vardar to Triglav, from Prevlaka to Dunav, from Dalmatia to Spain….to all people who enyoyed products of nature, especially….

oi people. i had huge fun last night! first we were out infront of ''swamp'' cuz they were leting some rock music. later when punk came in and do some lame pogo. BUT FINALY THEY STARTED THE METAL. MOST OF THE SONGS ARE TRASH OR HEAVY METAL. WHEN THEY LET THE SONG I WILL REFUSE I GOT SOOO WILD. WHEN SONG REALY STARTED I GRAB MY FRIEND AND THROWE HIM IN POGO AND HE HURTS HIS HAND AND HEAD.
